"We visit Rocklands several times a year. We love the area but mostly we love the peaceful, pretty, tranquil atmosphere and the comfortable lodge with its lovely views and its hot tub."

Tip:
"Take a walk around Cawthorn Roman Camp if you're interested in history. If you feel energetic, walk up, but on the field footpath, not on the road, which is narrow and has no pavement. We like Helmsley Walled Garden and its superb Vinehouse café. There is so much to interest people like us in our 70s, as well as great trips out for younger, more active people. "

"Perfect locations, nice and quiet, gorgeous lodge with hot tub, ideal for a relaxing break from the challenges of daily life, perfect for a recharge and reset. Facilities are amazing, lodge and outdoor areas kept in pristine condition, hot tub checked every morning, would come back again for definite and have told all my family and friends about this hidden little gem."

Tip:
"Depending on what type of break you want... if you want to simply isolate, relax and recharge them bring plenty of food with you, the freezer is a good size, not just one drawer in the top of a fridge and the cooking facilities are more than adequate, of you want walking and adventure there is a folder in the lodge that tells you all local hotspots aswell as restaurants and pubs, everything you need is in that book in the lodge. "
