Elterwater Hostel

This hostel is located in a beautiful area of the Lake District and is a great location for walking and appreciating the stunning scenery. The staff here, Nick, Charlie and Andy are those I have met, are all friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area/willing to chat and give really helpful tips about local walks. They are a massive asset to this hostel and have made a huge difference to each of my stays here so far. Thank you to you all.

Our walking group ( all ages) loved this hostel. Excellent facilities in wonderful location with walks from the doorstep. Plenty of space to relax and the team were fabulous -friendly, responsive and helpful. Great hearty food with good choice for all dietary requirements. Guest kitchen really useful too. Showers & toilets surpassed expectations, hot water plentiful and lighting and socket facilities in bedrooms really good. Big thanks to Nick, Andy, Charlie and Pete. Already booked for next year.

A fantastic hostel with great facilities for a group of families staying together. Comfortable beds, a brilliant common room and a well equipped self-catering kitchen. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

as always, it's just lovely staying at the Elterwater Independent Hostel. we've forgotten how many years we've been coming but we're never disappointed! great having our favourite Lakeland pub, the Britannia Inn, on the doorstep too. just a fabulous weekend location.
