Amazing little hotel with incredible views! Breakfast was absolutely delicious feeling full and fuelled for the day ahead. The room was sumptuous and comfortable I highly recommend!!

Paul - Thank you so much for an amazing write up. I take it that because you've written it, you got home safe and sound? That snow was expected, but not in its extent and the gritters were a bit late getting on the task of clearing the roads. I suppose it all added to the experience of a Scottish winter break (ha-ha). Not the most welcoming hotel.The management need to be more hands on. We have never been anywhere that the money was taken prior to our arrival.

Aarrgh. Hannah - Please accept my most sincere regrets and apology. Hubby and myself, though present in the background during your stay, were knocked low with pretty nasty chest infections, so we kept a low profile. I understand the Queen has cancelled engagements with what sounds like the same affliction, so we feel at least partially exonerated. There was an upset upon your arrival because two of your party cancelled without any notice, whatsoever. The group organiser had known they weren't coming, but hadn't let us know, leaving them to contact us, which they did not. We tried to explain that the expense for the stay had already been incurred, but it this wasn't accepted by yourselves. I apologise if I couldn't find a way of making the non-return of deposit acceptable to you. In contrast to your own experience, I have never taken a holiday that hasn't been paid in full well before the commencement date, so I am unsure how to respond to your comment about us taking full payment shortly before the arrival date. I hope this explains, at least in part, the rationale underpinning your experience. we hope you have a lovely Christmas and a happy New Year

Lovely relaxed and peaceful stay with my elderly mum. Thankyou for providing such delicious meals. Hopefully I can return next year.
