The grounds, the pool, the beach, truly a paradise. Vince, Rosie, and all the staff were wonderful.

Rosie and Vince are great, support staff are very helpful and courteous! The beach isn’t the best for swimming but very beautiful, the resort is very relaxing and the food is wonderful and drinks are plentiful!

The resort is beautiful, and extremely peaceful and relaxing. The servers are super nice, friendly and attentive. We also appreciated the very good food and their flexibility with diet requests. The pool, club house, rooms and entire grounds are extremely well kept - clean and maintained. The resort is truly clothing "optional" as most were entirely nude, but many were partially nude and some wore bathing suits. There was no judgment feeling at all. Understand this is a rainforest environment so there will be periodic rain, followed by sun (and then rain), but the entire vibe is so peaceful and beautiful we were totally fine with this. The employees are all local folks who are not highly trained high-end resort professionals so the experience is not always 5-star but they are working hard, genuine, authentic, caring and thoroughly enjoyable. The owners Vince and Rosie are outstanding and truly deliver on a unique, wonderful experience. There is a very small "workout" space with some weights if you need a gym, exercise area or yoga space but it's well-worn and serviceable for a few days only. Meals are also relatively healthy which is nice, but casual snacks during the day could use some fruit and vegetables instead of chips and cookies. We highly recommend Popa Paradise.

Tips for other travellers
The Junior Suites have a lot of space but they share a wall between the rooms that does not entirely keep out sound. We recommend going for one of the stand alone rooms/bungalows unless you truly need the space. Also, it's all-inclusive for 3 meals and all drinks, and there are some snacks between meals but they're not healthy snacks -- so if you like fruit and vegetable snacks for example, maybe consider grabbing some and bringing a bag of your own to the island for the stay.

Recently home from a beautiful 7-day stay… Quiet, relaxing, with local, indigenous staff attentive to every need. The food is 5-star with catch-of-the-day often your main course that evening. A truly chill boutique setting that is a self-sustaining, eco-friendly, paradise; Zen-like if you prefer, in the perfect peaceful and serene setting. It is clear that owners Rosie and Vince love this place. It even shows in the thoughtful background music playlists offered throughout the day! The clothing optional setting, observed by many but not all, is really second nature as total relaxation and rest is right there at your fingertips. While it is an effort to get there, we highly recommend.
