Paradise Found at Popa Paradise Beach Resort 5/5 Stars Popa Paradise Beach Resort on Popa Island, near Bocas del Toro, Panama (November 2025) This adults-only, clothing-optional gem is hands-down the best vacation I’ve ever had—I didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return. Arrival & First Impressions We flew Flytrip from Panama City to Bocas del Toro, then met our driver/boat captain at the airstrip—he held a sign, loaded us into a cab for the quick ride through town, and delivered us to a little yellow building where his boat was tied up out back. One seamless handoff from wheels to water, and 30 minutes later we were gliding toward Popa Island. The boat docked, and we strolled up a lush trail to the clubhouse. Owner Rosie greeted us with fresh coconuts and the warmest smile I’ve ever seen at check-in. She’s the most down-to-earth host imaginable—no pretense, just genuine hospitality. We arrived around lunchtime, dropped our bags in the casita, and were eating within minutes. Accommodations Rosie walked us to our casita: spotless, spacious, and perfectly equipped. Think king four-poster bed draped in mosquito netting, crisp linens, electric coffee/tea kettles, mini-fridge, a flat-screen TV we never even turned on, and a wardrobe for the few clothes we brought. The balcony—oh, the balcony—faced the Caribbean Sea and private beach head-on, and the crashing waves lulled us to sleep each night. American 110V outlets kept our devices happy. Comfort level: 10/10. Facilities & Amenities The clubhouse is the heart of the resort—always immaculate, scented with citronella coils that double as bug defense and tropical incense. Board games, books, ping-pong, and a pool table await rainy afternoons. The pool is a showstopper: over 5 feet deep in the center (a rare treat) with a swim-up bar. Bartenders materialize like magic with drinks, towels, whatever you need. Rosie is never far, ready to make anything happen. A modest gym corner has enough dumbbells and gear for a solid workout, plus a massage table tucked in a semi-secluded nook at the back of the clubhouse. I asked for fresh-pressed coconut oil and was able to give my wife a private massage there overlooking the jungle—pure bliss. Clothing-Optional Vibe Popa Paradise is proudly adults-only and clothing-optional, but it’s pressure-free: wear what makes you comfortable. Nudity is welcome everywhere outdoors—beach, pool, trails, your casita balcony—but a light cover-up or clothes are required in the clubhouse and at meal tables. No one judges either choice; the atmosphere is relaxed, respectful, and body-positive. Whether you sunbathe au naturel or keep a sarong handy, you’ll feel completely at ease. We had fun dressing up for dinner with the 3 other couples staying there. Dining & Food Meals don’t follow a clock; just sit down near mealtime and magic appears. Over five days we savored chicken wings, ceviche, whole red snapper, seared tuna steaks, beef fillets, tamales, and daily surprises—all outstanding. The staff anticipates your needs so well you rarely have to ask, and when you do, it’s instant. Service this intuitive is a rarity. Service & Staff I’ve never felt more at home on vacation. Owner Rosie, along with Eduardo and Tom, set the gold standard for attentiveness. Every employee—local indigenous staff treated like family by Rosie and Vince—goes above and beyond. Tip at checkout; they split it fairly among the team. Conclusion Popa Paradise is an adults-only, clothing-optional sanctuary for travelers craving relaxation, natural beauty, and five-star service without the party-bro energy (though if you bring a group, I’m sure you can crank it up as long as you keep it respectful). Your stay will become exactly what you want it to be. We’re already planning our return. Popa Paradise isn’t just a resort—it’s a love letter to barefoot luxury.

We spent eight nights in early October, it was fantastic in all respects, could not be better. Vince, Rosie and staff were wonderful and great company. They were instantly available when we wanted something but never hovering around. Best C/O optional resort we've ever visited. We are already planning our next trip!

We had a very relaxing time at Popa Paradise! Its a bit of an adventure to get here, but worth every bit of it, and it was super easy. Instructions on the website is very clear and the owner, Vince, is very helpful and responsive. The food was absolutely amazing, every single meal! Everyone working on the resort was very friendly and helpful, full of smiles! We stayed in the ocean front villa with the wrap around porch and thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on the porch, listening to the waves and watching the birds, hummingbirds, butterflies flitter about. We were shown where to find a baby sloth. Highly recommend!

If my name were Adam I would say I had found a literal garden of Eden! The place is absolutely stunning! The moment you pull up to the pier and see that beach and take the walk up to the club house, through the trees! It’s peaceful! I had the privilege of being the only guest, which to some maybe not great! It was better than amazing!!!! I almost don’t want to leave a review, cuz I want this to be my secret! I can not speak highly enough of Vince and Rosie’s place! The staff are attentive but descrete. The food was always good and the beer always cold!
