The place was beautifully finished, well equipped and very clean. It had a lovely homely feel.

It was obviously a very steep climb to the house and lots of stairs within the house, so no suitable for many people. But glorious views and access to the beach. Lythe stores were very handy for wood.it was cold without the fire.

A truly wonderful stay at Butteville. A beautiful relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Butteville is equipped to a very high standard, with very tasteful decor and stunning views. Absolutely perfect…we can’t wait to return.

BUTTEVILLE was fantastic. It was beautifully decorated and furnished, with comfortable beds and a very well-equipped kitchen. We loved our stay and particularly loved the decked balcony. A neighbour kindly loaned us a parasol, as it was luckily really sunny. So that would be the only thing we'd recommend adding to the deck. The booking process was easy and helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We ate at the Royal in the village, which is always great and at the Ellerby Hotel for Sunday lunch - delicious! Lovley walk on the coastal path from the house to Staithes, just under an hour.
