Dee and Giles have the most wonderful tower full of brilliant features in the best location. They are the kindest most thoughtful hosts we ever stayed with - whilst also giving us our privacy and freedom to enjoy our visit. They were so understanding of our nervous dog, and the lovely touches of dog bits and bobs is so welcoming. The tower itself is amazing! Beautiful, cosy and so relaxing. They lit a fire for us to arrive to and we immediately felt relaxed and at home. There are thoughtful touches throughout the whole place and you can tell they care about it and their guests, it's really lovely. It also has great internet and a lovely shower. There are fun touches throughout and I read the wood used is from the land there, which is very cool. Also the best brownie I have ever had and lovely tea and coffee supplies. A real treasure which I will be telling my friends and family about - for when their kids are moved out! The local area is beautiful and they let us exercise our dog on their land, which is so kind as she is a nervous rescue and it helps settle her. Can't fault anything about it and loved our stay. We were here for the wobble which was also superb

We’re a couple who live our lives by following the road less travelled. If you follow your sat-nav directions to Tŵr-Ffoledd, you will certainly do that. Follow Dee and Giles’ directions, not to do so will be folly. Talking of which; Tŵr-Ffoledd is a glorious example of an architectural folly, as defined by OED. We love it, quirky and unconventional. If you’re looking for corporate predictability, you’re going to be disappointed. If you’re looking for amazing creativity, imaginative use of space and materials, a location to die for, views to inspire and hosts with a genuine appreciation of life and how to live it; you’ll be heading to your home from home. I could say more, but I’ll leave that to you, the reader. Have fun, we did!

If you can, bring food in an ice-box, there are shops nearby, but they have limited ranges. That said, the big supermarkets are not far away, in the larger towns. The fridge at Tŵr-Ffoledd is very small. There are loads of pubs and restaurants for food, most are dog friendly, we didn't get a chance to visit them (only there two nights), but your hosts will point you the way. The spa at the local Lake Country Hotel is a must, if that's your thing. Tŵr-Ffoledd is great place to read or to write (top floor), or just chill. Great internet and wi-fi, if you want to stay in touch with the outside world? If not; just switch it off! Bring your walking boots and your walking poles if you've got-'em!
