Absolutely wonderful experience! Very quiet and beautiful place to stay if you are looking for a historical place with also many outdoor activities. Linda was very very nice, kind and attentive with everything about my stay, hope to go back soon!!

Tips for other travellers

There’s a farmers market during the weekends, very lovely with food, clothes, antiques, music, very nice to spend the day <3

Linda has thoughtfully put together a delightful b&b. Even down to homemade cakes. Love breakfast hampers.

Linda was very friendly and helpful. She has thought of everything to make a stay at Maple House very enjoyable. She accommodates walkers with muddy boots and wet coats very happily. Breakfast was very good and delivered in a beautiful picnic hamper. Tasty biscuits or cake are available during the day and a constant supply of fresh milk. I couldn't fault it and hope to be back!

Tips for other travellers

This is an excellent base for walking. I enjoyed walking part of the Offa's Dyke path. There are several pubs, cafes and restaurants. The meal in the Black Lion was excellent - a very interesting menu and good wine choice. The Red Indigo Indian restaurant was very good. And of course the book shops; Hay is a place to wander and browse.

This was a perfect place for my stay. The location is near the center of town and the service was excellent. The hostess was flexible, willing to provide breakfast early on a day I needed for my schedule. I was very happy with my stay here.
