The bothy is more of a luxury cottage, equipped with everything you need for the perfect holiday. Very comfortable and clean, newly decorated throughout with very comfortable double bed, large kitchen, lounge and shower room. The land is very well maintained and the garden is great to sit out and relax and the dog has a large secure area to play. Waking to the sound of the cows, calf's and chooks, gives a glimpse into farm life, and the beautiful scenery of the area is simply breathtaking, especially the sunset skies.

Tips for other travellers

The farm is in the remote part of the island, near the highest point landmark. We found it a bit tricky to find on arrival, as our sat nav took us to the first postcode location. But the postcode is for the area not the farm, the best way to find the farm is to take the turn off on the sharp right heading for the landmark (Glaid Stone) and look out for the metal farm sign on the right, just before you reach the top.

Thank you for the extra tip on how to get to the Bothy. We are only 1 minute from the Glaid Stone with its stunning panoramic views over the Firth of Clyde. Well worth a visit.

Great location, so clean and lovely No microwave but plenty kitchen utensils pots etc Great suntrap garden too
