Everything was amazing about the stay. The owners were caring and friendly and really helpful. The accommodation was unbelievable. So well done and cosy. We couldn’t speak highly enough about our stay.

Tips for other travellers

The location is magical. We stayed in the River tent, which is ideal for those with less ability's. We loved seeing a variety of birds, long tailed tits were a treat to see in the trees in front of us at eye level, being level with the canopy is so magical. Little egrets, herons and ducks on the water below all so close. The owls at night hooting away. A short walk across the bridge, and you are in the town which has a wealth of excellent places to eat and drink.

We had a wonderful stay at By The Wye, the team were so attentive and friendly, everyone made us feel so welcome. The treehouse was gorgeous and exceeded our expectations. There were so many little touches which we absolutely loved - socks for the adults, a pumpkin and carving kit for our son, a ghost trail (we stayed over Halloween week) and marshmallows for the fire pit. It was so nice to lay in bed listening to the river and wildlife.

Tips for other travellers

We had an amazing meal at a local Italian restaurant - Casa Bianca. We also spent a day visiting Puzzlewood and The National Showcaves. Both worth a visit, but involved a good drive to get there. Very scenic drives, which makes this better! The town itself was lovely, lots of great independent shops and bookshops!
