Thank you Julia and Gary for the warm and friendly welcome. I enjoyed staying in your clean and cozy log cabins and we might come back in the Fall for the scenery.

Tips for other travellers

The Rocky Mountains view is stunning! The hosts, Julia and Gary were very warm and welcoming. The log cabin #1 was very cozy, clean and organized. It had a propane fridge and a gasoline countertop stove and a wood stove that I loved it. There are plenty of trails around. We walked through the Mumm Greek trail in deep forest, It was gorgeous! The crystal clear Rock lake is 10 minutes drive away and the Wilmore viewpoint has great views to the lake and surrounding valley. We stayed for 2 nights and we had a great experience in nature. The road was unpaved so consider an extra time for that. We strongly recommend the Rocky Mountain escape logs for relaxing and also adventure.

The place is wonderful, the cabin cute and cozy. Julia and Gary are wonderful and kind host and you'll have the best time reconnecting with nature and the silence.

Our second time and each time we love it more. Such a beautiful spot, wonderfully kind hosts and great amenities. This will become a regular visit for us.

Tips for other travellers

Bring less than you think you need. They provide everything you could need. The first time we packed too much, we brought water towels, kitchen supplies and a lantern. The second time we were much better prepared :)

Need a break form the crazy pace of life? Start with the laid back friendly owners, Julia and Gary. Let them regale you with tales of jolly old England. They are fantastic people. The cabins are secluded and a true pleasure. No phones, no tv, no first world hustle and bustle. Hikes are nearby. Or sit on the porch and read a book. The look out at Rock Lake is spectacular and worth the 15min easy hike. No stress here. Just the sound of nature and the brightness of the stars at night. Enjoy the peace and quiet. So much more to say but surprise yourself with an off grid adventure
