On arrival we were stunned by the view! It is a house that keeps on giving. We were a party of six adults and six children and one dog. There was so much space for us all, the games room was a huge hit and you can imagine the delight of the swimming pool. We thought perhaps we would eat out one night but stayed put as the kitchen catered for us all with ease. Mike and Linda were excellent hosts. Sandcastles is very homely and welcoming whatever your size. We as grandparents had the upstairs suite and the rest of the gang were downstairs, this was very successful! Would I come back? In a heartbeat! Thank you Mike and Linda. Am jealous of anyone staying there now!

Everything is on your doorstep but if you do venture out then you can either walk the coast or a short drive will take you to Barafundle Bay. Spectacular bay, 15 minute walk from NT car park up hill and steps but worth it. Nice cafe. Jacks restaurant, we did not use but was useful for ice creams and chocolate. Folly Farm for the children a must. Ask for your ticket to be validated and if used within a week you have free entry. Useful for a rainy day! Tenby is well worth a visit and a nice coffee on the front. The go karting was very popular but check as there is an age and height limit, not for littlies. You can be active or just stay put with a stroll along the beach on your doorstep, the choice is yours and there is a lot of choice.

The feedback I wanted to share relates to the cleanliness rating. - The veranda is a beautiful space and we thought it was let down by the cobwebs and dirt in the roof and woodwork. We had to sweep the floor day one so as not to walk the dirt into the house. The table and chairs are flaking which adds to the problem. - Although the bed linen was clean there were stains. These are the reasons why I didn’t mark cleanliness as a 5. Overall we had a fantastic week as my comments in the visitors book indicate.

Beautiful house in fabulous location with lots of facilities. Could be a bit cleaner but adequate. Booking/payment could be simpler and what's included in the price needs to be correct on website. Very attentive and helpful owner. A lovely holiday. Enjoyed by all.

Owner Response

Hi Anne Thank you for your review, but I am a bit concerned about the “could be a bit cleaner” comment. Can you elaborate. We need to know what we can improve upon. Thanks Mike.
