The accommodation is on a working farm so you do see Angus and Louise but they are not intrusive. I found them friendly and offered good advice when asked.

Tips for other travellers

We brought our bikes with us. We used the disused railway lines which are nearby. This took us to Tanfield Railway (Andrew House Station) and also to Beamish Museum, Stanley and if you're fit Consett. The Italian restaurant in the village is small but welcoming and worth a visit.

A Lovely 2 Weeks exploring the North East we spent a lovely 2 weeks geo caching and exploring the North East The cottage is surrounded by peaceful countryside and geo cache. Louise is a perfect host, nothing is too much bother - thank you

Durham for the day is lovely Ushaw Hall was a delight Walking around the farm was very relaxing

Just what we needed for a few days The cottage was so warm, clean and cosy We loved exploring the farm and our trips to Durham and Newcastle. We will be back for Beamish Museum. thanks Louise
