We knocked on Brian's the caretakers door and within seconds he had the key for the bunkroom and led us across. Turned on the heating, showed us around and sold us some beer that he brought over. We were soaked so utilised the drying room for our kit, cooked our dinner and settled with a beer and hot food. Good beds in the hostel, good clean bedding if required and a good shower. Highly recommended after coming down from Cross Fell in horizontal stormy rain.

Lovely location and the facilities travellers need. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Whole experience excellent from start to finish. Easy to book, very clean hall, good size, good lighting and heating. Exceptional facilities. Communication superb. Would definitely use again
