Ballater Hostel is a great place to stay. Dominique and Daniel are great hosts making me feel welcome, helping me get my kit dry and great local knowledge. The Hostel was spotless, great power shower. The lounge was a great place to relax (lovely log burner, which Dominique kept topped up) and a fully equipped kitchen with hot drinks that you could help yourself to. Would recommend 👌

Tips for other travellers

I used as a base for gravel rides. Great routes on the doorstep and fab scenery. Loads of choice if you wanted to eat in or get a takeaway. I chose to buy a meal at the co-op and eat at the hostel.
