The Bridge Bar restaurant is excellent, but if you want Michelin Star, 'The Cottage In The Wood' in Winlatter can provide it.

Would be REALLY helpful to have grab handles screwed into the wall to aid getting in to and out of , and having, the bath and shower. My 93 year old Mum struggled even in the walk in shower as there was no where to hold on to. Couple of smart chrome ones in each would be fab :)

Brilliant vacation. First and foremost the staff are brilliant, always friendly, always helpful. The location is fantastic - right between Buttermere and Crummock Water, offering gentle walks around the lakes, to full on mountain hikes including the famous Haystacks. The rooms are all furnished to the highest of standards, as are the lounge, bar and dining room. I've stayed in some of the best hotels in the world, and The Bridge is right up there! Sure, not as big, but in its own way - right up there at the top.
