Our apartment was very nice and comfortable but needs more heating in the lounge area. Also, a table lamp in the loung area would be nice (we used the one from the bedroom!) as it’s either too bright with the main light on or a bit dull without it.

The cafe, bars and restaurants around the hotel are all very good. No need to travel far. Lovely walks either around Buttermere itself, or up the hills if more adventurous. We did Rannerdale Kotts and Hay Stacks.

In self catering apartment it would have been useful to have had a couple of extras; little cake of soap, salt and pepper, scourer. Just little things but a nice touch! Otherwise can’t fault you!

The best thing was just walking from the hotel and not needing the car, having said that Honister Pass was a fabulous drive, pleased the other road was closed!

We have stayed at the Bridge many times and it never fails to impress. Everything about this hotel and its staff are excellent. One of our favourites place to stay. Would highly recommend.

This was our second stay with the Bridge Hotel. The first as 2 in the Hotel, this 2nd self catering as a 4. The apartment was beautiful and spotless, with all the appliances you would need for a short stay. Our only reservation were the storage heaters. Lovely and warm in the morning not so snug in the evening. It could be operator error, but four minds failed to find the snug spot for the evening. Yes we will be back.

We had an evening bar meal whilst staying. Sadly even as residents you cannot book a time slot. This was a little bit of a FAF but once seated the meals were hot and tasty. Tip- Try the breakfast sausage bap at the farm cafe. The sausage comes a a spiral to neatly fit and fill the whole bap. Voted the tastiest sausage bap ever eaten by my niece .
