We have stayed in many very nice holiday cottages. Yours is of a different order -no superlative is enough. Everything has been thought of, everything works, is easy to use, is labelled and information given. All comforts are present, plenty of space, beautiful and welcoming. The outside environment is wonderful, the sheep, the lovely garden, the trees, the birdsong. You as hosts could not have more perfectly made us welcome and comfortable. We were so happy to be there, would have stayed longer if we could!

The Bell Inn in Winterbourne Stoke does excellent food. Stonehenge, so nearby, is great though Avebury is even better. Breamore House, Lacock Abbey, the Medieval Merchant’s House in Marlborough, the museums in Devizes and Salisbury…even Portsmouth Historic ships are reachable. And quite easy to get to Heathrow afterwards…perfection!

The bungalow is extremely well appointed and spacious. It really had everything we could want. The kitchen diner is large as is the lounge. It is in a lovely, quiet, beautiful spot not far from Salisbury and very close to Stonehenge. The owners who live next door are delightful. The information provided in the bungalow is very comprehensive with information about places to see, restaurants and about how to use items in the bungalow.

We visited Stonehenge whilst here as well as Caen Hill Locks near Devizes which is well wort a visit. We were staying in the area to see friends who live locally. There are lots of good places to visit locally such as Salisbury and there are some interesting National Trust properties to see such as Mottisfont and Kingston Lacy.

Lovely special meals at Rollestone Manor as usual. Quiet country walks to visit nearby churches and contemplate peace.
