A wonderful stay. We were made to feel extremely welcome by both Nette and Caitlin. The beautiful property was spotlessly clean with a beautiful breakfast, cannot wait for our next visit!

Lovely friendly welcome. Delicious breakfast. Couldn't do enough for us and we really appreciated the parking permit and use of an unused adjacent room. That was unexpected and it really made a huge difference. Lots of advice about local attractions and places to see or walk to. We felt very much at home and it made for a fantastic stay. Thanks to Nette and Cole.

Tips for other travellers

The dolphin pub nearby looked buzzing as we walked by. Didn't use it but we'll try next time. We took fish and chips from the nearby chippy and ate them on the picnic tables on Beer Beach in front of the ice cream places that were closed after 5. Perfect evening.

I was given a friendly welcome on arrival. The accommodation is excellent. Beer is a great place to visit and stay. Every one has a friendly approach and I found it peaceful and a nice place to be. Annette and Colin are great hosts and I recommend Durham House. My room had everything needed to make me feel very comfortable and the Breakfast is very good. I will stay again. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Durham House and at Beer. Thankyou Annette and Colin. Every thing was good.

Tips for other travellers

I didn't have time to explore the area but there are plenty of places to visit locally and within easy driving distance. The Dolphin Pub is recently refurbished where the food and service are good and there are other good restaurants locally. I recommend a visit to Panorama which is situated just a short walk (up a steep Hill) or a few minutes drive. The beach is small but a good place to relax.
