Beautiful location, surrounded by rushing mountains and towering oak wood trees and fitted with friendly staff, if one is looking for an authentic Cumbrian countryside experience fitted with nature, wildlife and a few Cumberland sausages from a nearby pub, Crake Trees Manor is the place to be!

Tips for other travellers
The Butcher's Arms charges reasonable prices for food and drink and does quite the fine bangers and mash if I do say so myself, but one can also fly a wee bit south to Appleby, where cafes and restaurants are plentiful with delicious, authentic Cumbrian cuisine.

No toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms. One bathroom bin filled with dirty paper. Yellow pod had dog hair all over mattresses. We had to wipe these down ourselves before setting up. Electricity on thursday came on late and off early. We specifically paid for pods so that we did not need to bring lights. We understood the need for electricity to go off but more notice would have been welcomed and a discount on the visit. Location is beautiful. Kitchen bits eg kettle fridge, freezer great.

We had a great stay in one of the camping pods. Loved the massive bed and fire pit. Also the site was grea; bar, music and food all really good! Would definitely recommend.
