This is really a place we would recommend to everyone if they want to stay at a nice place on Skye. Everything you want from a b and b is great. Beds, shower, cleanliness and breakfast( if you are there you should absolutely try Margaret’s granola). But they are so much more. Sandy and Margaret are real hosts with a heart. They help you with everything and make you feel as welcome as a long lost friend. We have been there twice now and really love it.

First class accommodation. We thoroughly appreciated the welcoming and attentive hosts. Margaret and Sandy made our stay relaxing. Comfort, cleanliness and food were all first class. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you and best wishes for the season ahead. Pat and Donald

Our 10th stay at Cuil Lodge having been every year since 2014, save a couple during the pandemic when it was not possible to travel. We were the first guests of Sandy & Margaret and they haven't looked back since. Th consummate hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The standards are top notch - 5* or equivalent aiming at the top end of the market. The beds are supremely comfortable, the breakfast is unbeatable and the quality of fixtures, fittings and nice touches like a fridge in the room freshly stocked with milk, water and samples of Margaret's own baked confectionary - the rocky road biscuits are particularly special. The convenience for the Calmac Uig - Tarbert Ferry could not be better - the boat virtually docks in their garden! Outstanding!

Tips for other travellers
Evening meal reservations at any or all hostelries in Uig essential to avoid disappointment or a long drive to Dunvegan or Portree for alternatives. The Uig hotel is our favourite but non-residents have to arrive to eat (be served) by 18h45
