"We loved our stay (midges and fruit flies excepted but this is typical of Scotland). Location was perfect, quiet but close to areas we wanted to travel to during our trip. All within 1.5hrs of the cottage. Great size and well equipped with good quality crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Cottage was clean on arrival. The only minor observation would be it could use a refresh of the paint and a proper deep clean but this would by no means stop us from returning or recommending the cottage to others. Would also recommend trying the Venison. Also not uncommon to see Stags around the cottage at night. "

Tip:
"We wanted to do some of the NC500 and this was a perfect location. The furthest we travelled in terms of driving time was Inverness (around 2hrs). Isle of Skye (around 1.5hrs), Applecross via the Bealach na Bà pass (around 1hr), Plockton (around 30mins). "

"Strathan House was perfect for our family gathering of 6 and would have accommodated 1 or 2 more. The location offers fine local walks, peace, and the wonderful Attadale Gardens. The host was super-helpful and welcoming."
