"There are many good restaurants in the area. Our favourites are the Walled Garden in Apple cross and the Beallach tearoom near Kishorn. There are many possible walks,long and short,climbs,kayaking possibilities, cycling routes, etc, so excellent for outdoor enthusiasts."

"Sorry we did not meet you this time but we did enjoy our stay.
Highlight of holiday was Thomas Watson taking us into the estate and mountains/glens for Andrew to do some fly fishing (twice). Andrew was thrilled whereas Ian and Kirsty loved the scenery. Please convey our thanks to Thomas.
One question for gardeners: Five years ago I spotted a small Rhododendron Macabeanum near the fernery on the right. I could not find it this year and wondered whether it had died or whether it had been moved to the left near monkey puzzle tree? I am interested because it was discovered in India by my great grandfather, Sir George Watt (whom your late mother knew of) in 19th century!"
