"We were very happy with all aspects of the house and room. Unfortunately we were out and about so much that we didn't have time to just sit and enjoy the sitting room or the outside which looked very beautiful and relaxing. The bedroom is beautifully furnished and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The home-made treats were delicious. Beth and John were very friendly and helpful hosts. Would definitely recommend them."

Beth's cooking is absolutely deserving of the awards they have won. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was home made and scrumptious.
I absolutely recommend you stay here. "

"Staying at Arden House is a must. The house is beautiful and the rooms are amazing. The level of comfort is second to none and the breakfasts are of the highest quality."

Tip:
"Linlithgow is a lovely town and is a must see. Visit a pub on the main street and relax with a pint of local ale and a delicious meal."

"We loved staying here and would absolutely stay here again! The location is fantastic; a beautiful setting and so easy to get to Edinburgh without staying in the city. Our bedroom was cozy and full of thoughtful little touches for comfort. The food was so good; you can tell a lot of care and consideration goes into its prep and presentation. Every breakfast I had was tasty and filling, and the menu is personalizable and changes every day! John and Beth go above and beyond to make you feel at home, I cannot recommend this place enough."

Tip:
"Linlithgow itself is very cute and fun; our first hours there went to the castle and the church which were beautiful and not too crowded. The high street has many shops and restaurants as well. "

"My wife and I stayed for three nights and the stay was perfect. The house is beautiful, the room superb and the breakfasts to die for! Sptolessly clean and Beth and John were perfect hosts with nothing too much trouble. If you want a fabulous B&B to stay at in the area then you need look no further than Arden Country House. Thoroughly recommended."

Tip:
"We liked the Bridge Inn in Linlithgow for the evening meal, the staff were always friendly and the food for us (we don't eat meat) was very good. If you're not used to it be prepared for the optional service charge to be added automatically to your bill. You can ask for it be removed if you so wish - it's not something that is done in the Lake District where we live - it may be where you live however.
If you decide to go into Edinburgh don't even think of driving but get the tram in from one of the two Park and Ride sites within a 15 minute drive from Arden House. Cheap, frequent and clean."
